“Sulle orme dei Santi di Palermo” (In the footsteps of the Saints of Palermo) started in 2017 to enhance and promote the beauty and the inestimable value of Palermo’s religious patrimony. The Silene Cooperative‘s project has the aim to create 5 different itineraries including urban and extra-urban religious sites to let locals and tourists know more about city’s faith origins and its magnificent places of worship, that will be publicized through maps and an app (available soon), and a cycle of about 50 guided tours organized on weekends, from April to October. The itineraries are designed to offer an original point of view of the city through the life of its patrons – Saints and Genies – to explore enchanting places also rich in history and charm but still undiscovered without neglecting anyway Palermo’s traditional landmarks.
