Many guests of our holiday villas in Sicily are choosing late May or early June to come visit the island. Sicilian Spring is warm enough to allow them to spend a day at the beach, but still not so sultry almost to rule out everything else. There’s so much more to do in Sicily indeed, and this could be the best time to go for it.
Just the other day a couple of the guests of one of our villas on the West coast were roaming across the country in the Northwestern area of the island. There you can spend a day by the lake, to mention one, near the small town of Piana degli Albanesi. The inland has so much to offer in Spring. If you head to Caltagirone, the world-famous town of pottery, you might have the chance to visit it during the Flower Fest held there in May. This year’s edition will take place from May 12 to June 6: during these weeks you will be able to see the beautiful pottery staircase that became a landmark for the city used by flower artists to create wonderful compositions.
The most famous Flower Fest in Sicily though is the one in Noto: the Infiorata, as they say around here, will start on May 19. You have just a weekend to get the chance to see the Baroque streets of Noto with a unique look, completely covered by shiny springtime colours. Don’t waste your time: take look now to our selection of villas in Sicilian countryside!
